I lead products and the teams that build them, and I'm hands-on enough to ship the product myself. Strategy, execution, and operations, end to end.
At N26, I owned payments infrastructure for 3M+ users—incident response, PSD2 compliance, Apple Pay and Google Pay launches across Europe. Promoted four times in two years. At Urban Sports Club, I led payments, platform engineering, and site reliability: fraud detection (92% reduction, €2.2M saved), cloud migrations, legacy system upgrades, and the kind of debugging where money goes missing and someone has to find it.
Now I'm founder and CEO of Kaufmann Health — a live healthcare platform I built and run solo, across product, engineering, growth, and P&L.
My work spans payments, healthcare, and marketplace platforms — domains where getting it wrong has real consequences.
I'm based in Syracuse, New York, and work US-East hours. I'm open to fractional engagements (~20 h/wk) and to full-time product leadership roles.

A marketplace that connects people with body-oriented psychotherapists in Germany. Patients find the right therapist, book directly, and pay—all in one place. I built and run the entire platform solo: matching, scheduling, payments, acquisition, and operations.
Live and growing. Stack: Next.js, Supabase, Cal.com, Stripe, Resend.

Online course platform and digital infrastructure for an independent health practitioner, combining technical implementation with hands-on project management.
Kaufmann Health is a live healthcare platform that connects patients in Germany with body-oriented psychotherapists. I built this platform myself with more than 3,600 production commits since mid-2025.
The platform processes health data under GDPR, so I put a lot of effort into access rules and security. That includes row-level security in Postgres with a script that re-checks those rules every day and after every migration. Each push runs a test suite in GitHub Actions and deploys only when it passes. Payments go through Stripe Connect, and for scheduling we use a self-hosted Cal.com instance - this way we rely on externally audited software for critical flows of the app.
My strong preference is for decisions to be data-informed wherever possible. As such, my best friend Metabase runs on a self-hosted instance and gives me live data I can run analytics on - including ad-spend via Google Ads, or data fed from Google Search Console.
The SaaS-stack I built over time gives therapists a suite of tools, many of them completely free. With those, therapists can showcase their credentials on their practice websites and accept intro-calls through Kaufmann Health, replacing costly tools for them.
Patients can browse the therapist registry or get matched with a therapist, upon which they can easily book the first conversation. Email and SMS carry the reminders and follow-ups after that, in German or in English depending on the user, in a fully automated fashion. Therapists get their own automated flow, from signup/onboarding to a subscription that Stripe bills and renews.
The biggest product decision so far was killing my own revenue model. I had launched on commission, taking a cut of each session, but every euro I put into patient acquisition came back as less than a euro of lifetime value, making the model hard to sustain for a bootstrapped platform - though I am convinced the unit economics could have worked out at venture-backed scale. The model was also not appealing to therapists with more established practices, so I moved the business onto subscriptions for therapists and rebuilt billing around them.
At present, I recognize funds for marketing and patient-acquisition as bottlenecks for the product to grow, but have decided to limit activities there and rely on organic growth going forward, in order to keep the product true to its core values of a therapist-aligned revenue model.
Kaufmann Health has been the project where I could deepen my skills across every part of a business and stay hands-on. After a year of doing every job myself, I am looking to bring those skills into a team again - leading, and getting more done with others than I ever could alone.
